History

The Massey Archery Club (MAC) was founded in 1971 initially operating on private land. In 1977 the club purchased land in Red Hills Road Massey. Great club spirit helped us develop from the original "wooden shed" club house to the stage where we had a large converted house erected for the use of Club members. This was the scene of many fund raising activities aimed at making the club debt free.

In 1987 the Club suffered a significant setback in the form of a fire that destroyed the club house. This tested the club members’ resolve but the end result was the construction of the clubroom proudly named the Red Hills Lodge.

In 2021, following the sale of Red Hills Road, the Club relocated to a new 57 acre property situated at 167 Annett Road in Kumeu.

The club is proud of its history, not only in terms of facilities but also in terms of its members archery achievements over the years. The complete honours board can be found on the Achievements page.
