Junior Development Programme
To best meet the needs of our juniors, the Wednesday sessions are divided into 3 groups.
Primarily for cubs and new members. It has a social focus and looks to develop basic shooting form and a general understanding of the club rules and course etiquette.
For those progressing from the foundation group and for those focused on attaining the club achievement badges. This group will focus on developing shot sequence and more attention to 'shooting form'. It is expected this group will practice a minimum of 3 times per week.
Focus is about achieving well or placing at identified competitions or tournaments. Mental aspects of archery are delved into and the shot sequence and general form are micro analysed. The expectation is these archers will maintain a practice log and diary, set goals and plan to meet said goals. These archers will be practicing at least 5 days a week.
Enrolment into this programme is $40 per school term, which at roughly 10 weeks per term is less than a cup of coffee per session. The aim of the programme this year is to raise the overall standard of archery throughout our junior members. Email the junior coordinator on firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to enrol.
